We returned for a second year, primarily for Hirano Kouta!
That’s right, the creator of Hellsing! He was drawing 50 sketches for the
con, and the only way to get them was to win in a raffle (there were like
3,000 people at this con). By means of luck and lots & lots of cheating,
Mathias and I were able to get THREE of those fifty sketches. Day one, Mathias
was able to request a sketch of Alucard. And day two I was able to get a
sketch of Schrödinger (who I didn’t know was a male at the time, I thought
it was just a sexy little Nazi catgirl!) and, OOPS, I accidentally let
Mathias cut in line, and he requested a sketch of a young Walter. We also met
Stephanie (as L) and Megan (as Pip). This con was definitely what I believe
to be Anime Vegas at its peak.
